 I am super super excited for the release of Jody whitesides new song a Georgia bulldogs football basketball and baseball version of his hit song Do you want to play?  Whitesides has released a version of Do you want to play for the NFL NBA MLB and other leagues, and I am super excited he is doing a Georgia bulldogs one! Whenever it comes out I will be getting in contact with Georgia's staff to work on getting it played at games but I know for sure that yours truly and others will be playing it loud and proud at Georgia tailgates!  Thank you Jody so much!  -Mo

On May 28, 2026, it was announced that the 2026 Georgia football season would mark the final season content creation for Butterfly Dawg Productions.  After the 2026 football season BDP will return to just a archival library with over 100+ hours of Georgia football games.  Creator and founder of ButterflyDawg Productions Mo(UGAHoopsshinobu)said the following on the May 27th live stream  "I thank everyone so so much for the support over the last handful of years it has been a absolutely dream come true making content for the Georgia fans. I love the Georgia bulldogs very very much and one of my favorite things to do ever, is to listen to old games while I do something. It does not matter if it is working out side- or playing Super Mario party jamboree, matter of fact we played Mario party just last night and I listened to the 2007 Georgia vs Arkansas basketball game(Steve Newman buzzer beater game) That is one of my favorite games I have listened too Georgia at one point down 9 with less than a minute to play, Steve Newman hits 2 straight 3 pointers, Sundiata Gaines hit a 3 pointer then Steve Newman hit the game winning 3 point from the hog logo in the Arkansas arena Scott's call went like this "Holds it high to Newman long threeee GOOOOOOOD HOLY SMOKES!"   The 2026 Georgia bulldogs football season is supposed to kick-off September 5th vs Tennessee state. This football season will start with new voices on the airwaves of the Georgia bulldogs sports network. On April 24th it was announced that the long time "Voice of the Dawgs" Scott Howard would not be returning to the broadcast booth. Scott who was supposed to enter his 34th season as the radio play by play man was unexpectedly and shockingly forced out of doing football at Georgia so that sets the scene for this story.  :Disclaimer: I am super happy for Jeff Dantzler he is a true DGD and he is one I look up too so much and he is going to do great.  Georgia will take on Clemson at 7pm in a exhibition matchup !! Georgia is coming off a SEC championship season I am so very excited for this season and we will be proud of our lady Dawgs!! 

 A absolutely stunning day for Georgia Basketball the day started with the announcement that Georgia would play South Carolina State Sunday December 29th... and now the word that Georgia will(unofficially) to play St Johns in the Bahamas!!  LET'S GOO 

 Georgia takes on that team in Atlanta today! The Dogs are coming off a win over Mercer. Georgia has not beat Georgia tech since 2019 if the bee's win today it will be 3 in a row we cannot let that happen! This game matters more than anything this is a huge game. Georgia will have to play it's best game of the year to win this game that how much it matters. Georgia tech is coming off wins vs #21 Mississippi state and #7 Duke which was very very impressive. So Georgia will have trouble with them but we are better than them! and we can beat them! To hell with Georgia tech! GO hoop dawgs!  

 Georgia will travel to Tallahassee FL to take on the Florida State Seminoles in the ACC/SEC Challenge. FSU leads the Series 19-10 the last game being in the 1981-82 season Georgia won 70-67. Former Bulldog coach Hugh Durham played and coached for FSU in the 60s and 70s as well that was just a interesting fact. The SEC leads the challenge at the moment 4-3 a Georgia win would be nice for the SEC. Georgia struggled alot in our last game vs Winthrop we will have to play better(Later) than we did to win this game.. FSU did lose to FL a week or so ago but they are 4-1 and still they look really really good. This will the last road trip for the dogs for while as every game in the month of December will be at home let's get this win! Go Hoop Dawgs!    

 It was a tough game for the Hoop Dawgs as we lose 79-68 to Miami in the opener of the Bahamas Championship. Georgia and Miami started the game cold but Georgia then went on a 10-0 run then Miami answered and went on a 19-4 run the Dawgs we're losing at halftime. Unfortunately it was too much as Miami then went out to man handle the hoop Dawgs the rest of the game. It just sucks that Georgia isn't one of those teams that can rebound after a scoreless drought gg to Miami they played a good game. The bright spots for Georgia was Blue Cain and Silas Demary Jr these dudes are absolutely excellent im so glad we have them on our team. Later in the night Kansas state beat Providence in OT meaning the Hoop Dawgs will play Providence at 12pm on Sunday. Let's win this game! Go hoop Dawgs! 

  The time has finally come for the University of Georgia Men's basketball to play the biggest game of the season.  The hoop Dawgs will head to the Bahamas to take on the Miami Hurricanes.  Miami looks REALLY good  Miami last season they went 29-8 with 13-2 record in non-conference. Georgia will absolutely have a hard time Friday. Georgia's last game was vs North Carolina Central in a game where Georgia struggled almost the entire game vs NCCU but put it away late in the second half.  Slow starts in the second half has Doomed Georgia in the loss to Oregon and almost vs NCCU we will have to start quick and fast vs Miami because that could be a game if we start slow we won't be able to come back from that. So Georgia just needs to do what we usually do and that's play great basketball if we do that we'll be fine SO... Georgia will hopefully beat Miami LET'S GOOO HOOP DAWGS.

 Georgia had a tough time vs the eagles on NCCU but the hoop Dawgs hung on!  I want to apologize to NCCU fans I said i thought this game would be over at halftime but the Eagles straight showed out and played a great game.  The hoop Dawgs played a okay game we have to and will get better. Georgia's next game will be Friday vs Miami! Go hoop Dawgs! 

 After a huge win over Wake Forest Friday night Georgia takes on North Carolina Central. Georgia has opened as 21 point favorites i believe we'll cover that if you're a betting man.  This is the second ever meeting between Georgia and North Carolina Central. The only match up between the teams was in 2019-20 When Georgia beat NCC 95-59.  Four Bulldogs  had double digit days as Anthony Edwards had 21 points Rayshaun Hammonds had 19 points Tyree Crump had 16 and Christian Brown had 11. Georgia hopefully will continue to play great and beat NCC... I could happen but I personally just don't see North Carolina Central giving the Hoop Dawgs a hard time. Go hoop Dawgs! 

 Let me first by saying WOW HOW ABOUT THOSE HOOP DAWGS!  Georgia beats Wake Forest 80-77 in a incredible basketball game. This truly was of runs Wake Forest started out strong then Georgia went on a 20-4 run late in the first half. Georgia then came out in the second half prepared and boy oh boy was it fun to watch.  Noah Thomasson played lights out with 21 points including some clutch 3s and a killer stepback. Jabri Abdur-Rahim shot the 3 good night as well. Big Russell Tchewa under the basketball did his thing  RJ Melendez and Silas Demary Jr. had 10 points as well.  Overall amazing effort by the boys tonight Georgia and Wake Forest as well played a amazing basketball game this was one of the best games in Georgia basketball history!  Georgia will be back in action Sunday vs UNC Central!  Georgia will take on Wake Forest on Friday here is a few things you need to know about it. Georgia is coming off a 82-71 loss to Oregon in a game where Georgia had a horrible first half but a super strong second half. Georgia got within 2 and 4 a few times but the bad 1st half was too much to overcome.  Georgia will have to play great the entire game to win this one as Wake forest came back from 23 points vs Elon to win 101-70. Georgia and Wake Forest played last year as the Dawgs 2nd half rally feel short 81-71. Georgia and Wake Forest have played a few times Georgia leads the series with Wake forest 4-3. The first ever meeting was in 1912 Georgia won 70-28 they would play in Jacksonville in 1964 and UGA would lose 83-76 but now we'll get to the major meetings. in 1999-200 Georgia played Wake Forest in ATL for what was perhaps the greatest matchup with under 5 seconds left Wake Forest hits a lay up to take the lead and then Georgia throws it across the court to Adrian Jones ...

 Georgia suffered a stinging loss to the Oregon ducks in Las Vegas Monday. The slow first half along with bad play overall doomed the Hoop Dawgs,Georgia lead 1-0 and that was it they would never lead again. The hoop Dawgs showed right as they would make two rallies in the end of the 1st and the end of the second but it would all be for nothing.  The good thing was  Jabri Abdur-Rahim had a team high 18 points he looked awesome.  RJ Melendez and Blue Cain each had double figures as well the both had  12 points and  Silas Demary Jr impressed me as well.   The University of Georgia will open its 119th season of basketball in Las Vegas vs the Oregon ducks! In a season where they're are HIGH expectations for the Georgia basketball team here is everything you need to know for the game. For historical reasons we'll start with this- this will be the second all time meeting between Georgia and Oregon as Oregon won the only previous meeting between the two schools in 1975 87-74 hopefully Georgia can make it a 1-1 Record!  Georgia returns some key players from last years team  Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe  Jabri Abdur-Rahim Frank Anselem-Ibe and Justin Hill the Hoop Dawgs lose Kario Oquendo which oddly enough transfered to Oregon so that means Georgia will play him!  Oregon made the NIT qatuerfinals last season so they do have some experience in big games they're best players are  Jermaine Couisnard and  N'Faly Dante definitely some guys that will impact this game and Georgia will have to make sure they try to...

 The Georgia bulldogs beat EKU 99-82 in a pre season charity exhibition. While it was not stream and there's not much footage of it some twitter users put box scores. RJ Melendez 21 points, 8 rebounds Noah Thomasson 15 points, 4 rebounds Silas Demary Jr. 12 points, 5 assists Blue Cain & Jabri Abdur-Rahim 12 points Russel Tchewa 10 points, 10 rebounds Very good showing for our dawgs! The Georgia Men's Basketball team defeated the North Carolina State Wolfpack 80-72 Saturday morning. This was a secret scrimmage so they're is NO information about this game available. Georgia has History with NC state as in the Hoop Dawgs only final four appearance in 1983 NC state would beat UGA and go on to win the National Championship. Georgia's Next game will be October 30th Vs Eastern Kentucky in a Charity Exhibition game.    

 Georgia and EKU have announced they will play a Charity exhibition at 6:30 on October 30th at  Stegeman Coliseum. Everything from this game will go to the American Red Cross of Georgia's Disaster Relief efforts due to Hurricane Idalia in South Georgia.(A really great cause)  Georgia and EKU have met twice in 2005-06 Georgia won in the Virgin Islands 76-68 and then in 2010-11 Georgia beat EKU 64-57. 

 The Georgia men's basketball team will now know who'll and when they'll play there SEC slate of games of the 2023-24 season. The Southeastern Conference announced the dates for all of the games for every team! Georgia will play the likes of the mighty Alabama Crimson tide in Athens and for the third straight year head up to Rupp Arena to play Kentucky.  Georgia will open conference play January 6th at Missouri. Georgia will then play vs Arkansas(Jan 10th) and Tennessee(Jan 13th) at home. Georgia will then take a two game road trip to South Carolina(Jan 16th) and Kentucky(Jan 20th). Georgia then host LSU for the second straight season on Jan 24th. Georgia will head to the O'dome on Jan 27th to play the Florida gators. Georgia will then clash with Alabama in Athens on Jan 31th.
