Georgia basketball opens up sesson in Las Vegas vs Oregon!

 

The University of Georgia will open its 119th season of basketball in Las Vegas vs the Oregon ducks! In a season where they're are HIGH expectations for the Georgia basketball team here is everything you need to know for the game.

For historical reasons we'll start with this- this will be the second all time meeting between Georgia and Oregon as Oregon won the only previous meeting between the two schools in 1975 87-74 hopefully Georgia can make it a 1-1 Record! 

Georgia returns some key players from last years team Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe Jabri Abdur-Rahim Frank Anselem-Ibe and Justin Hill the Hoop Dawgs lose Kario Oquendo which oddly enough transfered to Oregon so that means Georgia will play him! 

Oregon made the NIT qatuerfinals last season so they do have some experience in big games they're best players are Jermaine Couisnard and N'Faly Dante definitely some guys that will impact this game and Georgia will have to make sure they try to control.

It is just the first game of the season but Georgia's non conference Schedule is brutal and the SEC schedule is another kind of brutal to start the season with a win over a Great Oregon team would be awesome and Georgia can do it i believe in them! Hopefully at end of the day we're all celebrating a Georgia season opening win go Hoop Dawgs!

Georgia Men's and Women's Basketball team release they're full non conference schedules

 After months and months of waiting both the Georgia men's and women's basketball teams have released they're full non conference schedules. MEN'S Georgia men's basketball will open up the season vs November 6th at T-mobile arena in the Naismith HOF series vs the Oregon ducks. On November 10th the Wake Forest Demon-Deacons will come to Stegeman Coliseum for the 2nd part of a home and home. Georgia will then face North Carolina Central on nov 12th. and then after that it's time for perhaps the most exciting road-trip in Georgia history. In the "Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship" Georgia will take on the Miami hurricanes whom are coming off a final four appearance,in the second game of the tournament  Georgia will either play Kansas-State or Providence this tournament will be played Nov 17th-19th. Georgia defeats North Carolina State 80-72

The Georgia Men's Basketball team defeated the North Carolina State Wolfpack 80-72 Saturday morning. This was a secret scrimmage so they're is NO information about this game available. Georgia has History with NC state as in the Hoop Dawgs only final four appearance in 1983 NC state would beat UGA and go on to win the National Championship. Georgia's Next game will be October 30th Vs Eastern Kentucky in a Charity Exhibition game.
